Academic Drawing

This series of graphite drawings includes selected demonstrations from Drawing I: Focus on Perception, a course at UC San Diego Extended Studies. The work focuses on drawing from observation and accuracy-based techniques, progressing from line-based structure to shadowed form, informed by multiple drawing traditions.

Seussimal Series

An ongoing exploration of Dr. Seuss–inspired style using watercolor, ink, and marker. Each piece functions as a stylistic study, emphasizing exaggerated curves, simplified forms, and distinctive facial characteristics. Alongside this stylistic focus, the work reflects a love for diverse wildlife—especially animals not typically seen in Dr. Seuss’s books—bringing playfulness and appreciation for the wide variety of forms found in the animal kingdom. These illustrations are intended solely as educational references, honoring the visual language and creative legacy of the renowned children’s book illustrator while supporting student learning and stylistic analysis.
